Terms of Service

Last updated: June 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of Deckside. They are written to be readable; the short version is that you should only connect machines that are yours, you are in charge of what you ask the agent to do, and we will be straightforward with you about the service we run.

1. What Deckside is

Deckside is a service operated by DittoWorks Inc (“DittoWorks”, “we”, “us”). It lets you pair computers you control (such as a home theater PC, Steam Deck, or other Mac or Linux machine) with your Deckside account, and then direct an AI agent running on those machines from a web browser. The agent can read files, run commands, and make changes on the paired machine in response to your instructions.

Deckside consists of the web application and platform at deckside.ai, the Deckside desktop app, and the Deckside connector CLI (together, the “Service”).

2. Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and DittoWorks Inc. By creating an account, pairing a machine, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to use Deckside.

3. Your machines and your responsibility

Deckside is built for machines you own or are explicitly authorized to manage. You agree to pair only such machines. Accessing computers without authorization is illegal in most jurisdictions, and you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to control every machine you connect.

The agent executes real commands on your machines. You decide what to ask it, and you review and approve actions when the Service asks you to. You are responsible for the consequences of instructions you give and approvals you grant, including data loss, configuration changes, or software the agent installs at your request. Deckside never automates elevated (administrator) prompts; granting elevated access on a machine remains a local decision on that machine.

4. Your account

You need an account with a verified email address to use the Service. Keep your password and any paired devices secure: anyone with access to your account can direct agents on your paired machines. Tell us promptly at contact@deckside.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity that happens through your account, including turns sent from browsers you have signed in on and machines you have paired.

5. AI models and bring-your-own-key

Agent responses are generated by third-party AI models (currently OpenAI models) routed through Deckside's hosted access or, if you choose, through an API key you provide. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe to execute; review what the agent proposes before approving actions you care about.

If you add your own API key, you authorize Deckside to store it encrypted and use it to make model calls on your behalf, and you are responsible for the associated provider fees and for complying with that provider's terms. Hosted model access is subject to the fair-use limits of your plan, which exist to keep shared capacity available for everyone.

6. Plans, billing, and changes

Free and paid plans are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately. We may change plan features, limits, or prices; if we materially reduce what your paid plan includes, we will notify you in advance and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • access, control, or attempt to control machines you do not own or lack authorization to manage;
  • violate any law, or infringe the rights of others;
  • probe, disrupt, or overload the Service, circumvent fair-use limits, or interfere with other users' use of shared capacity;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own service without our agreement; or
  • develop or distribute malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or engage in other abusive activity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of your prompts, your files, and the output produced on your machines. You grant DittoWorks the limited rights needed to operate the Service: storing your conversation history, relaying it between your browsers and machines, and passing it to the AI model provider so responses can be generated. We do not use your conversations to train models and we do not sell your content.

9. Service availability and pre-release software

Deckside is a young product and parts of it (including desktop builds, which are currently unsigned) are pre-release software. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be discontinued. Conversation history is retained until you delete it, but you should not treat Deckside as your only copy of anything important.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DittoWorks disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the same extent, DittoWorks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including the actions of agents on your machines. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid DittoWorks in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your conversations at any time. Deleting a conversation revokes its paired connector's access. DittoWorks may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content rights, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give notice (for example by email or in the app) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Deckside is operated by DittoWorks Inc. Questions about these terms? Email contact@deckside.ai or ask in the Deckside Discord.
