Do I need a paid plan to connect my machines?

No. Pairing machines, the desktop app, and the command-line connector are included on every plan, even Free. Plans only change how capable the assistant is and how much you can ask of it.

What do the paid plans actually get me?

Smarter models, more requests per hour, and extra abilities like web search. If you mostly ask for simple things now and then, Free may be all you need; Pro is the right fit for everyday use.

What counts as a request?

Each time the assistant calls the model while working on your task. Hourly limits exist to keep shared capacity healthy and reset every hour. They're not a hard cap on your work.

What is "bring your own key"?

If you have your own OpenAI API key, add it in Settings and Deckside uses it instead of our hosted access. That unlocks both supported models and every tool on your own OpenAI billing, with no Deckside hourly limits. It works on every plan, including Free.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately and are managed from the billing portal in Settings.

How many machines can I connect?

As many as you like, on every plan. Each conversation pairs with one machine at a time, and you can move a conversation between machines whenever you want.
